My Best Investment in 2020
This is just a short blog post but I really wanted to share this with you.
Guess what my best investment in 2020 was?
Most of you are probably thinking of a Tesla share or Bitcoins. But I have to disappoint you. The big price gains have not happened (yet). And I’m still at the beginning of my investment life.
My best investment in 2020 was something so simple and I regret not having bought it earlier. But better late than never, right?
My best investment in 2020 was: “Drum roll”.
Yes, I’m serious.
I am now officially part of the “Kindle Club”.
Why am I so excited?
Well, there was a point last year when my girlfriend and I just had enough of Netflix and Chill and decided to devote ourselves more to reading again. We already did that during the first lockdown, but we were still ordering paper books back then.
Friends of ours have had a Kindle for a while now and are thrilled with it. So we thought we’d give it a try and ordered a Kindle from Amazon.
But we soon had to admit to ourselves that one Kindle doesn’t work, because we both wanted to use it. So we ordered a second one.
A kindle has many advantages. It is very light and small and you can always have your books with you. It doesn’t matter if you’re at home or traveling. It is handier then any book, which opens up many new reading positions.
When you finish a book, you don’t need to go to a store or the library to get a new one, you can just download the next one (if you have WIFI of course).
Since we realized our best investment in 2020, we have been reading for about 30 minutes every evening. Within a very short time we have already devoured several books. Amongst them is the book Cool bleiben und Dividenden kassieren by Christin W. Röhl and Werner M. Heussinger, which is the subject of my investment strategy that is briefly explained in the post about the DividendenAdel. Unfortunately, it is only available in German. But follow along on the blog where I will share more about my investment strategy.
But for now, share your best investment of 2020 in the comments. I’m looking forward to reading about it.
